Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Payd pricing

Is Payd only for businesses or can individuals use it too?

Payd is for everyone! Whether you're a freelancer getting paid, a business making payouts, sending money to family, or just need to make global payments - Payd works for individuals and businesses alike. Same great pricing for all.

Are there any monthly fees or setup costs?

No! Payd has zero monthly fees, no setup costs, and no hidden charges. You only pay transaction fees when you use our services.

Do the regional rates apply to both mobile money and bank transfers?

Rates depend on the country, the payment method and whether you're collecting or paying out. In Kenya, M-Pesa collections are 1.3%, and payouts have a flat fee by amount for M-Pesa wallets, Paybill/Till numbers and bank accounts. For the rest of Africa, the table above lists mobile money and bank transfer rates for each country, for both collections and payouts.

How do the maximum fee caps work?

USD payments are 1.2%, with a minimum fee of $2 and a maximum of $10 per transaction. Payouts in Kenya use flat fees by amount band, so you pay the same fee anywhere within a band. M-Pesa collections (1.3%) and card payments (4%) are not capped.

Can I see fees for both sending and receiving?

Absolutely! Our calculator covers both collections and payouts, so you can see exactly what you'll pay or receive before you transact. Full transparency, always.

What countries do you support?

We support 35+ countries globally. Our pricing covers Kenya, plus collections in 14 and payouts in 15 other African countries through mobile money and bank transfers, with fees charged in local currency.
